Job summary

AMSOIL Industrial is seeking a motivated Technical Account Specialist to support customers and sales reps across Detroit MI, Ohio, and Illinois markets. You will troubleshoot issues, monitor equipment performance, collect samples, and identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and efficiency while delivering outstanding customer experience.

You will own relationships, understand customer goals, support sales growth, and liaise with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 3+ years in account management, technical sales, or customer support.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, ask thoughtful questions, and gather information.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and projects.
• Independent work style with cross-team collaboration.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and common business software.
• Comfort in manufacturing/industrial environments; valid driver's license and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers.
• Serve as a trusted partner by understanding customer goals and technical requirements.
• Support sales growth by promoting AMSOIL Industrial products and identifying opportunities.
• Develop deep understanding of industrial applications and communicate value.
• Act as liaison between customer accounts and internal teams (BD, Product Dev, Marketing).
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends for business development.
• Manage account activity and opportunities using CRM tools.
• Lead and support projects contributing to territory and account growth.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
