Job summary

FruitSmart is seeking a Systems Technician to safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility utility and process support systems in a high‑hazard environment. You will work on ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, water treatment, and effluent systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial utility systems.
• Experience with boilers, HVAC, cooling towers, water treatment, and wastewater systems.
• Experience using CMMS for work orders and maintenance records.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain logs and records; coordinate with contractors and inspectors.
• Read blueprints and P&IDs; interpret technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Support capital improvement and reliability projects.
