Job summary

West Georgia Technical College seeks an instructor for the Precision Manufacturing (Industrial Systems) program at the LaGrange campus. The role covers theory, practical applications, and online offerings, with courses designed for traditional and dual-enrolled students.

The instructor will develop curricula, maintain accreditation standards, and participate in professional development while delivering hands-on training in industrial maintenance and automation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Precision Manufacturing, or related field.
• Three (3) years out of the past seven (7) years of experience in the field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Six-Sigma, lean manufacturing, or related certificates are a plus.
• Direct teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.
• Online teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience with Blackboard, Banner, Degree Works, KMS, and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in theory and practical applications of industrial systems.
• Instruct face-to-face, hybrid, or on-campus classes as needed.
• Teach in classroom and lab environments simulating industry settings.
• Utilize current classroom technology and assess student progress.
• Grade coursework in a timely manner and meet with stakeholders.
• Maintain program accreditation requirements and prepare documentation.
