Job summary

Carotek, a SunSource company, provides process equipment solutions and represents over 85 manufacturers across several states. The role involves estimating, designing and managing systems integration and custom projects from concept through build.

Responsibilities include RFQ review, BOM development, electrical scope planning, CAD drawings, and coordination with vendors and production teams to drive successful project completion. Occasional travel and strong collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

• Read client RFQs including P&ID, PFDs, process descriptions and equipment specs.
• Develop BOM in accordance with client specifications.
• Research and solicit component cost and availability.
• Work with Electrical Systems staff to develop electrical scope of work.
• Assess labor hours required for design and fabrication.
• Develop total system cost and selling price and review with management.
• Produce formal proposal to client including detailed scope of work.
• Create Electrical Drawings with CAD modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Follow client specifications to specify equipment and submit for approval.
• Review and verify acceptance of client orders.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve design and fabrication issues.
• Manage project through fabrication and FAT testing per client specs.
• Prepare installation, operation and maintenance manuals.
