Job summary
Redwood Materials is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to own and operate the SCADA platform and the infrastructure that supports our industrial control systems. You will manage gateway configuration, clustering, and data flows from plant floor to enterprise systems in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.
The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor's degree in a related field, strong virtualization and containerization skills, and proven experience building resilient, high-availability industrial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience with server virtualization, containerization, storage, and networking in industrial environments.
- Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python) and ability to work across OT/IT domains.
- Experience designing for resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery in multi-site setups.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary administrator and technical owner of the SCADA platform, including gateway configuration and upgrades.
- Own the SCADA database and historian tier, including archival, retention, and data integrity.
- Maintain plant-to-historian data paths and troubleshoot OT connectivity and data quality.
- Design and operate enterprise hybrid infrastructure across data centers and colocations.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and documentation across OT and infrastructure estate.
- Occasionally respond to after-hours emergencies and travel to Redwood sites.
