Job summary

Busch Vacuum Solutions in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking an experienced Industrial & Systems Engineer to join our Regional Distribution Center onsite team.

You will drive continuous improvement through data analysis, lean methods, capacity planning, and simulations, partnering with cross‑functional teams to optimize warehouse and manufacturing workflows.

Requires 4+ years in manufacturing; SAP experience preferred. Target compensation is $92,000–$114,000 annually with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or operations field.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing production control environment.
• Strong ERP experience; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Excel, Power BI.
• Experience with Six Sigma, DMAIC, and PDCA.
• Experience with capacity analysis and discrete event simulation.
• Knowledge of facility layout planning and lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Apply Value Stream Mapping to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
• Develop efficient workflows and layouts using Kanban, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Lead continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare reports on ROI and financial impact of changes.
• Manage projects using Microsoft Project.
• Collaborate across departments to implement improvements.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
