Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an Industrial and Systems Engineer to lead time studies, optimize labor, and support engineered standards across our nationwide distribution network.

This role involves up to 75% travel and the option to work from a distribution center when not traveling. You will partner with site leadership to analyze operational data, present improvement recommendations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering preferred.
• Experience with time studies and continuous improvement methods.
• Knowledge of WMOS/Active/Blue Yonder preferred.
• Labor management, MOST, and engineered standards experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and MS Office 365.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering preferred
• Other applicable engineering degrees considered
• Experience with time studies and continuous improvement methods
• Knowledge of Manhattan WMOS, Manhattan Active, or Blue Yonder preferred
• Labor Management, MOST, and engineered standards experience
• Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and Microsoft Office 365
• Strong oral and written communication skills with confidence presenting to leaders
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
