The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:
Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented MRO Commodity Leader to lead global MRO sourcing and supplier management initiatives. This role is responsible for RFP execution, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and conflict resolution across general industrial supplies, gases & chemicals, and packaging/shipping supplies. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, industry knowledge, and the technical ability to drive data-informed decision-making and process improvements.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the strategic sourcing process for nonproduct MRO categories, including strategy development, market analysis, supplier negotiations, and implementation.
- Manage enterprise-wide contracts and supplier relationships for key commodity areas.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, leveraging data-driven insights and best in class sourcing practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, providing coaching and oversight of daily activities and long-term development.
- Partner with business units operations, Engineering, and EHS to understand requirements and ensure cross functional alignment.
- lead supplier performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, sourcing governance, and risk management requirements.
- Support cost modeling, benchmarking, and should cost analysis to identify value opportunities.
- Oversee RFPs/RFQ's, contract lifecycle management, and negotiations in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders.
- Eligible candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field and minimum 14 years of relevant experience in MRO procurement or category management or an Advanced Degree and minimum 12 years relevant experience in MRO procurement or category management.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated success leading RFPs and negotiating large-scale MRO contracts, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a matrixed organization, influencing with and without direct authority.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
Work Location:
This is a remote role.
The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
