Job summary

GrayWolf Integrated Construction Company in Morgan City, LA is seeking a Structural Welder to join our Morgan City project team. The role involves raising, placing and uniting girders and other structural-steel members to form completed structures or frames.

Expect 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. Candidates must have 3+ years of heavy industrial welding experience, welding certifications, and tools to perform the work.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Welder.
• Must identify all welding techniques and metal properties and heat effects.
• Completion of welding certification(s) required by company and/or client.

Responsibilities

• Welding safely around construction hazards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, erection manuals, and drawings.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Secure components by bolting, clamping and tack welding as needed.
• Prepare material for welding and repair products by cutting and grinding.
