Job summary

BSI Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead our growing Structural team of engineers and designers in Ohio. The role requires a PE license and 10+ years of industrial/ manufacturing experience, with responsibility for directing technical design, analysis, and client engagement.

You will mentor staff, drive innovation, and oversee complex projects from concept through construction documents, ensuring code compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Proven ability to lead people and projects as a direct manager.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and structural support systems.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC, NDS and related standards.
• Experience with industry-standard software and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and designers.
• Provide technical leadership for design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and specialty systems.
• Balance technical quality with project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Act as trusted advisor to project teams and clients on practical solutions.
• Oversee drawings, calculations, specs, and construction documents for accuracy.
• Champion innovation with new technologies and methods.
