Job summary
Harris Group seeks a Structural Engineer with extensive analysis and design experience on large and small industrial manufacturing projects. This role can be based in Portland, OR and involves providing structural design for steel structures, concrete foundations, and equipment support systems.
The role offers opportunities to engage in projects across North America, liaise with clients, and contribute to Harris Group's regional marketing and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- B.S. in ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil) or Structural Engineer (SE) in WA, OR, CA, CO or SC; sitting for SE exam encouraged within 2 years.
Responsibilities
- Perform seismic evaluations and analyses of both new and existing structures.
- Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and support construction activities for project execution.
- Represent Harris Group at client meetings and industry peers; travel to off-site locations as required.
- Supervise, lead, and mentor younger engineers and designers as appropriate.
