Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead analysis and design of industrial equipment and supporting structures. You will coordinate with project engineers, CAD staff, and field teams to ensure code-compliant solutions.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in structural engineering, expertise with steel design, and familiarity with relevant codes. PE license is preferred, with potential travel for site work and inspections.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in industrial applications.
PE license preferred; capable of signed/sealed calculations.
Experience with structural steel design and applicable codes (AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, AWS).
Knowledge of structural analysis software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for industrial equipment and supporting structures.
Develop engineering calculations for bridges, catwalks, beams, columns, bracing, and supports.
Analyze loads including dead, live, wind, seismic, and hydrostatic.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and fabrication teams during drawings.
Review drawings and provide structural recommendations and modifications.
Support field installations and provide engineering recommendations on site.
