Job summary

PENTA ENGINEERING CORPORATION is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to design steel and concrete structures for industrial systems and to lead design activities with multidisciplinary teams. You will develop conceptual layouts, review drawings, and collaborate with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions.

The role requires PE licensure (or active pursuit) and familiarity with AISC, ACI, and ASCE 7 codes, supporting project leadership and on-site travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license or actively pursuing licensure.
• Knowledge of current codes: AISC, ACI, ASCE 7.
• Experience with industrial projects and leading design teams.

Responsibilities

• Design steel and concrete structures and foundations for industrial systems.
• Develop conceptual designs for optimal layouts and cost reductions.
• Review structural input on mechanical drawings, layouts, and vendor proposals.
• Prepare calculations and CAD drawings; direct designers in project drawings.
• Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with internal teams.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
