Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer for multiple locations to lead detailed engineering across projects. You will coordinate with other disciplines, oversee shop drawings, and prepare construction drawings and calculations for complex structures in industrial facilities.

The role requires 10+ years in relevant industries, PE license (SE preferred), and ability to lead QA/QC and client communications throughout proposal development to project execution.

Qualifications

• BSc in civil or structural engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, power, or metallurgical/mineral industries.
• PE license required with SE preferred or commitment to acquire within one year.
• Ability to register with NCEES and in other states.
• Proficiency with structural engineering/design software (RISA-3D, STAAD).
• Experience leading quality management of discipline work processes.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design structural solutions for industrial facilities; perform complex structural analysis and design.
• Coordinate site civil design for industrial facilities.
• Review structural shop drawings and data; interface with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and supporting calculations.
• QA/QC checking of projects completed by other engineers.
