Job summary

Actalent in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Structural Designer to develop and coordinate structural models and drawings for complex industrial and government projects. Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD will be essential to produce accurate, constructible designs and support retrofit and modification efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of structural design and drafting experience on complex facilities.
• Proficiency with Revit for 3D models and AutoCAD for 2D drawings.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and applying codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural models and 2D drawings for new construction and modifications.
• Create plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details.
• Coordinate designs with multiple engineering disciplines to deliver integrated deliverables.
• Perform model coordination reviews and resolve clashes using Navisworks Manage.
• Utilize ReCap and point-cloud data for retrofit projects and existing facilities.
• Support site visits and field surveys to verify conditions and update models.
