Job summary

Koch Finishing Systems is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing and supplier relationships for our custom industrial equipment. You will source steel, components, and services behind each project, keeping materials on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate reads drawings and BOMs, negotiates effectively, and thrives in a project-driven environment. On-site role with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and tuition/fitness reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing/procurement/buyer roles.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, BOMs.
• Strong negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions, drawings, specs, and BOMs for accuracy before ordering.
• Purchase structural steel, plate, sheet, and industrial components; coordinate with suppliers.
• Request quotes, negotiate pricing/lead times, and issue purchase orders.
• Find and qualify new suppliers and subcontractors; build vendor relationships.
