Job summary

SR2 is seeking a Software Engineer to build modern applications that run alongside real industrial machinery and real-time data streams. You will develop intuitive UIs with React/TypeScript and robust back-end services, collaborating with a small team in an employee-owned environment.

The role focuses on modern software for industrial equipment, including HMI improvements, edge/on-premise solutions, and integration with PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience building applications with React
• Backend development experience with Node.js or Python
• Understanding of APIs, databases and software architecture
• Experience building and supporting production software
• Interest in software that interacts with physical systems

Responsibilities

• Build modern operator interfaces and applications using React and TypeScript
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python and C++
• Work with real-time machine data, telemetry and equipment monitoring
• Integrate software with PLCs and industrial equipment
• Improve usability of complex industrial systems
• Develop reliable applications for edge/on-premise environments
• Contribute to software architecture, testing, deployment and engineering best practices
• Help shape the technical direction of new software products
