Textron Systems Lycoming Engines is seeking an Intern - Industrial Software Engineer to design and implement software that optimizes manufacturing processes in Williamsport, PA. You will collaborate with engineers, develop data‑driven tools, and help integrate equipment with ERP/MES systems.

The role emphasizes hands‑on development, mentorship, and exposure to lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma awareness, and cutting‑edge automation concepts.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Software Development/Engineering, IT, CS, or Data Analytics.
Proficiency in Python, C, JavaScript, or C# is expected.
Familiarity with industrial tools like Power BI, MATLAB, LabVIEW, PLCs, PlantSim.

Responsibilities

Design and Development: Develop software tools to optimize manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to identify inefficiencies and provide software solutions.
Integration: Create systems that connect equipment with ERP/MES.
Data Analysis and Monitoring: Build tools for real‑time data collection and monitoring.
