Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Software Developer in the Austin/Round Rock area to join a cross-functional Agile team focused on PACSystems software. You will contribute to client-side applications used to configure, program, visualize, and manage PACSystems controllers and automation solutions.

The role emphasizes modern development practices, AI-assisted workflows, and collaboration with product managers and domain experts to translate complex requirements into precise specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 6+–7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing and developing client-side software using JavaScript, Python, C++, or C#.
• Experience with real-time or industrial automation interfaces is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile team to design, code, and review client-side software components.
• Define and drive specifications using modern spec-driven approaches.
• Develop with AI-assisted workflows and validate software in industrial environments.
• Engage with domain experts to translate requirements into software specifications.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and apply them to projects.
