Job summary

AIC is looking for an on-site software engineer to work with design partners and manufacturers. You will embed with partners, understand shop dynamics, and translate real-world observations into software requirements.

You will write production code across the stack, collaborate with HQ, and help drive operational maturity. A strong background in data-intensive systems and hardware integration is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a fast, collaborative development environment.
• Product and design experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge for designing and implementing data-intensive applications.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, system and API design, frontend, algorithms, hardware integration, data science, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with design partners and manufacturers for extended periods.
• Build trust across the full vertical from GM to technician for adoption of software/hardware.
• Develop deep understanding of partner shop processes, constraints, people, and physics.
• Translate observations into concrete requirements and lead software delivery on-site and at HQ.
• Write production code across the full stack, including data model, ETL, backend, frontend, ML pipelines, and integrations.
• Coordinate deployment with process-engineering changes and drive change management and training.
• Own outcomes and measurable improvements in operational maturity and partner outcomes.
