Job summary

Brown and Root External is seeking a Soft Craft Lead to supervise daily activities for insulation, painting, sandblasting, fireproofing, coatings, floor covering, and refractory support within an industrial facility. You'll ensure safety, productivity, and quality while coordinating between craft personnel and leadership.

The role requires leading crews, interpreting drawings and project schedules, and maintaining accurate reports in a fast-paced environment, including outages and turnarounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial soft craft experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as Lead or Working Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily work activities of assigned soft craft crews and assign tasks based on priorities.
• Coordinate installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of insulation, coatings, painting, fireproofing, and other trade work.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and permits.
• Inspect completed work and ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower with supervision; maintain daily reports.
• Communicate progress to supervision and coordinate with other disciplines.
