Job summary

Permobil, Inc. seeks an Industrial Sewing Associate for the 2nd Shift to produce high-quality seating and mobility components. The role focuses on safe operation of industrial sewing machines, following work orders, and meeting production and QC standards.

The position offers a pay range of $16.00-$18.00 per hour plus a $0.50/hr shift differential, with a 2nd shift schedule Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm. Full-time, on-site at New Berlin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior manufacturing and industrial sewing experience preferred.
• Experience with Juki sewing machines preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instruction in English.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate industrial sewing machines to meet quality standards.
• Read work orders and assemble parts accurately and on time.
• Sew material according to specifications and make minor machine adjustments.
• Meet QC standards and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain daily logs and keep weekly production above 90%.
• Maintain work area inventory and follow safety and ISO procedures.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and assist other departments as needed.
