Job summary

Permobil is seeking an Industrial Sewing Associate for the 2nd shift in New Berlin. You will safely operate industrial sewing machines, follow work orders, sew to specifications, perform minor adjustments, and maintain logs.

The role requires basic math, tape-measure reading, and english comprehension. We offer a full-time schedule with a $16.00-$18.00 per hour pay range plus a $0.50 per hour shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
• Experience working with Juki sewing machines preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instruction in English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate industrial sewing machines to sew products per standards.
• Read and follow work orders via EDO and tickets to build quality parts on time.
• Sew material according to product specifications.
• Operate all industrial sewing machines including single needle.
• Make minor machine adjustments.
• Meet QC standards in sewing operations.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain daily log of completed work and weekly production above 90%.
• Maintain Kanban system and participate in cycle counts.
• Maintain housekeeping and lean initiatives.
