Job summary

Accelera is hiring an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator / Seamstress in Universal City, TX. The role uses industrial sewing equipment to assemble components for thermal insulation and acoustic products, not clothing or alterations.

We seek candidates with strong industrial sewing experience and comfort with tough production materials. The position offers a 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), full-time schedule, and asap start.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial sewing machine experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, upholstery, textile production, canvas sewing or similar industrial sewing environments is a plus.
• Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to follow work instructions, measurements and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full 2nd-shift schedule.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating sewing equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to approximately 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment as part of a production line.
• Sew and assemble thermal insulation and acoustic product components.
• Work with specialty industrial materials, including metal mesh and thin sheet-metal pieces.
• Follow work orders, product drawings and sewing specifications.
• Set up sewing equipment and perform basic machine adjustments as needed.
• Thread machines, change needles and adjust guides and bobbins.
• Inspect materials and finished work for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support lean production.
• Assist with pre-assembly or final assembly tasks as required.

We are immediately hiring experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operators / Seamstresses for a growing manufacturing operation in Universal City, TX.

This is not traditional clothing or alteration work. You will use industrial sewing equipment to assemble components used in the manufacturing of high-quality thermal insulation and acoustic products.

The ideal candidate has previous industrial sewing experience and is comfortable working with a variety of specialty materials in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
• Sew and assemble thermal insulation and acoustic product components
• Work with specialty industrial materials, which may include metal mesh and thin sheet-metal materials
• Follow work orders, product drawings and sewing specifications
• Set up sewing equipment and make basic machine adjustments
• Thread machines, needles and guides and change bobbins as needed
• Inspect materials and completed work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain consistent production and quality standards
• Perform basic daily preventive maintenance on sewing equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with pre-assembly or final assembly operations as needed
