Job summary

Canvas Craft Inc. in Otsego, MN is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer to join our sewing team. You will build custom awnings, covers, curtains and vinyl panels from drawings, and plan builds on complex jobs.

Set up and run industrial walking foot and double-needle machines, and act as a go-to sewer while training newer team members. This full-time on-site role offers health insurance, a 401(k) match and paid vacation/holidays.

Qualifications

• Several years of industrial or commercial sewing experience (awnings, marine canvas, upholstery, tarps or covers).
• The ability to read drawings and set up your own machine.
• Real pride in clean, durable work.

Job description

We're growing our sewing team at Canvas Craft, and we're looking for an experienced Industrial Sewer to join our crew in Otsego, MN!

Since 1977, we've built custom awnings, shade structures, marine covers and industrial fabric products. This role isn't about running the same seam all day. Most of what we build is a one-off made from a drawing, and you'll see your work go up on buildings across the Twin Cities.

In this role, you'll:

• Build custom awnings, covers, curtains and clear vinyl panels from drawings and patterns
• Plan builds on complex jobs and catch issues before they hit the machine
• Set up and run industrial walking foot and double needle machines
• Be a go-to sewer on tough jobs and help train newer team members

You'll be a great fit if you have:

Otsego, MN | $20–$25/hr | Mon–Fri, 7:30–4:00, with no nights or weekends
