Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking an experienced Sewing Operator in Fenton, Michigan. The role involves operating industrial sewing machines and sewing a variety of fabrics such as Velcro, Vinyl, and Cotton.

The position is a 1st shift with hours 6AM-4:30PM, with pay ranging from $17–$19 per hour depending on experience. Ideal candidates will have HS diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced plant setting.

Sewing Operator

Location: Fenton, Michigan

Hours: Monday -Thursday 6AM-4:30PM

Pay: $17-19/hr depending on experience

Are you an experienced Industrial Sewer with a keen eye for detail? Our client is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled 1st shift Industrial Sewer to join their thriving production plant.

Requirements

• Proficiency in sewing various materials including Velcro, Vinyl, Cotton, and other fabrics.
• Demonstrated experience in handling and operating industrial sewing machines.
• Adherence to safety protocols and best practices in an industrial sewing environment.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting while meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and willingness to learn new sewing methods or materials as required.

Qualifications

• Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to interpret and follow sewing patterns, blueprints, or instructions accurately.
• Skilled in conducting quality checks to ensure precision and consistency in products.
• Capability to work with different sewing techniques and adapt to varying sewing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and precision to maintain high-quality standards.
• Experience in troubleshooting sewing machine issues and performing routine maintenance.
• HS Diploma or GED
• Detail orientated
• Ability to distinguish between fabric colors and materials.
• Ability to pass a sewing test
