Job summary

National Salvage and Service Corporation is seeking a motivated Business Development Salesperson to develop new business opportunities and nurture client relationships across the Bloomington, IN region. The role emphasizes effective communication, construction or industrial sales experience, and tailoring solutions to customer needs.

This is an in-office position based out of Bloomington, requiring travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience in construction, industrial services or related industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, environmental remediation or industrial operations is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Ability to read project specifications, drawings and bid documents preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, industrial facilities, municipalities, developers and commercial clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Prepare and present proposals, bids and service agreements to prospective clients.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate project opportunities.
• Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate project scope and pricing.
• Attend industry events, networking functions and client meetings to promote company services.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales activity reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Support contract negotiations and assist in securing profitable projects.
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout project execution and completion.
