Position Summary:
The Industrial Service & Repair (IS&R) Market Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the industrial service & repair sector in the specified geographic area. This role involves partnering with existing Account Managers for on-site support, joint calls, and opportunity identification. It requires strong coordination with local and regional SunSource business units across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Product Marketing Plan: Develop comprehensive growth strategies targeting key customers, analyzing competitors, identifying repair and application opportunities, and setting pricing strategies to increase market share. Present short, medium, and long-term growth plans to management.
- Market/Industry/Customer Evaluation: Develop and coordinate marketing and sales strategies to leverage SunSource’s value-added repair solutions. Gain a thorough understanding of the products, services, market size, and local business strategies related to service & repair capabilities.
- Marketing Communication: Lead marketing efforts for industrial S&R opportunities, create and implement marketing programs, support sales with promotional materials, and participate in industry events and trade shows. Conduct presentations and joint sales calls at strategic customer sites.
- Sales Support: Act as the central coordinator for potential service & repair customers within the district. Collaborate with sales teams for joint calls and participate in regular business reviews.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of Service & Repair markets and business strategies
- Experience integrating marketing efforts and communications
- Strong technical S&R skills
- Ability to influence through collaboration and consensus building
- Proven success in developing strategies, building relationships at the executive level, and applying technologies in operational contexts
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, in person)
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and adaptability to fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a technical/mechanical industrial technology field
- 10+ years of progressively responsible sales experience in Industrial S&R, with experience in service and repair capabilities preferred. Multi-location experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate across functions in a matrix environment. Creative problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential.
