Industrial Service & Repair Market Manager - Western US

Position Summary: The Industrial Service & Repair (IS&R) Market Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the industrial service & repair sector within a defined geographic area. The role involves partnering with Account Managers for on-site support, joint calls, and opportunity identification, as well as coordinating with local and regional SunSource units.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Marketing Plan: Develop growth strategies targeting key customers, understanding competitors, and setting pricing strategies to increase market share.
  • Market/Industry/Customer Evaluation: Develop marketing and sales strategies to leverage SunSource’s repair solutions, understand product and service markets, and become a subject matter expert on service & repair capabilities.
  • Marketing Communication: Lead local marketing efforts, create and implement marketing programs, support sales with promotional materials, and represent SunSource at industry events.
  • Sales Support: Coordinate with sales teams for joint calls, participate in regular update calls, and support account development initiatives.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive understanding of Service & Repair markets and strategies
  • Experience with marketing integration and communication
  • Strong technical S&R skills
  • Ability to influence through collaboration and build relationships at all levels
  • Proven success in developing strategies across various areas, including executive relationships and technology application
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, in person)
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable to fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a technical/mechanical industrial technology field
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in Industrial S&R, with experience in service and repair capabilities
  • Multi-location experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; experience in marketing collateral and upper management presentations
