Galois, Inc. in Arlington, VA, seeks an Industrial Security Team Lead / Senior Facility Security Officer to strengthen our security program and enable national-security research.

You will lead a small team, balance strategic planning with hands-on work, and collaborate with researchers, executives, and government customers. You will manage NISPOM compliance, DD254, OPSEC, and risk-based security improvements while maintaining accreditation for OSS, SAP, and SCIF areas.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance prior to start date; polygraph optional.
• 5–7 years experience leading a team of security professionals.
• 8–10 years in Industrial Security or related programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Expert understanding of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report to General Counsel on security matters.
• Lead and coordinate with FSOs to establish security requirements across facilities.
• Maintain compliance with the industrial security program per NISPOM and DD254.
• Oversee accreditation docs and security measures for OSS, SAP/SCIF as needed.
• Design secure spaces and security plans based on accreditation status and sponsor requirements.
• Manage COMSEC information and periodic software/cryptographic key updates.
• Support IT staff in accreditation documentation for information systems.
• Implement OPSEC plans as needed.
• Conduct security self-inspections and risk mitigation; support customer assessments.
• Process security clearances up to SCI nomination; DD254 processing.
• Escort uncleared personnel and visitors.
• Create and oversee security education and awareness program.
• Ensure protection and corrective measures for incidents or vulnerabilities.
• Support staff via visitor management and clearance procedures.
