Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) seeks an experienced Industrial Security Specialist CSSO at our Colorado Springs, CO location.

You will manage SAP programs, oversee security operations, and ensure compliance with NISPOM and related DoD directives while coordinating with government agencies. The role requires 2–4 years in industrial security and a active DoD Top Secret clearance, with strong communication, documentation, and program management skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of industrial security experience.
• Thorough knowledge of US Government 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and related ICDs/DoD manuals.
• Experience in program security and personnel security across multiple disciplines.
• Able to respond to after-hours alarms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication, customer service mindset, and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support a fast-paced program.
• Oversee daily security operations and administer industrial security programs per NISPOM and contract requirements.
• Supervise SAP programs and recommend procedural improvements.
• Maintain security documentation and accreditation activities for the facility.
• Prepare reports and coordinate with government agencies or investigators.
• Manage SAP PERSEC records and security briefings.
