Job summary

Galois is seeking an Industrial Security Team Lead / Senior Facility Security Officer to strengthen and lead the security program for its Arlington, VA operations. You will guide a small, high-performing team, balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, and advise senior leadership on security policy and risk management.

You will oversee compliance with NISPOM, DD254, and program classification guides while supporting classified research and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years in Industrial Security or related programs.
• 5 to 7 years leading a security team.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness for polygraph.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Expert understanding of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM).
• Experience with OSS, SAP, SCIF security.
• Experience with security databases such as NISS, DISS, eAPP.
• Ability to develop and establish security awareness programs.
• Willingness to travel to other Galois locations.

Responsibilities

• Report to General Counsel on security matters across the organization.
• Lead and collaborate to establish facility and information security requirements.
• Provide oversight to other Galois functional areas on security matters.
• Maintain compliance for Arlington, VA facility per NISPOM and DD254.
• Design secure spaces and security plans per Sponsor requirements.
• Manage COMSEC information and periodic key updates.
• Support IT in accreditation documentation for information systems.
• Implement OPSEC plans and conduct risk mitigation.
• Conduct security self-inspections and customer assessments.
• Handle Personnel Security processing up to SCI nomination.
• Process Prime and Sub DD254s and escort uncleared personnel.
• Develop security education and awareness programs.
• Protect and remediate incidents or vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate visitor management and VARs with security staff.
