Rincon Research Corporation is actively seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to support CSSO and SAP security functions. The role involves collaboration with security professionals, governance of security metrics, and liaison with government agencies to ensure compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3–5 years in industrial security, including a current TS/SCI clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and 3–5 years of industrial security experience.
  • Must have a current favorably adjudicated T5 / T5R and eligibility for a TS//SCI clearance.
  • US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties related to CSSO, CSSO roles, and SAP security responsibilities.
  • Work within a security team led by a Lead CSSO.
  • Uphold government and Rincon policies to enable secure program execution.
  • Understand applicable DoD and government security manuals and directives.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections and prepare for government inspections.
  • Provide Visitor Control and meeting support.
  • Create, maintain, and organize security documentation and tracking.
  • Coordinate security needs with Rincon security team.
  • Conduct security briefings and maintain education training programs.
  • Identify security issues and implement corrective actions as directed.
  • Liaise with government agencies to ensure contract compliance.
  • Prepare security proposals and participate in new security program planning.
  • Investigate security incidents and implement corrective action.

What are the primary responsibilities in the Industrial Security Specialist position?
  • Perform duties related to the role of Industrial Security Specialist, Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), and Contractor Special Access Program (SAP) Security Officer (CSSO).
  • Work within a team consisting of one or more security professionals under supervision or guidance of a Lead CSSO.
  • Uphold government and RRC security policies necessary to enable program leadership and employees to execute the program’s objectives securely, in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline driven environment.
  • Full understanding of applicable Government manuals (32 CFR Part 117, ICD’s, DoD Security Manuals (5205.07), etc.).
  • Conduct annual self-inspections, and maintain and prepare for government inspections.
  • Provide Visitor Control (to include sending/receiving VARs) and meeting support.
  • Create, maintain, and organize security documentation, and tracking.
  • Ensures accuracy of security databases.
  • Coordinate security needs, support, and requirements with the RRC security team
  • Conducts security briefings and maintains security education training programs.
  • Identifies program issues and implements corrective actions to identified security problems as directed.
  • Works closely with Program Management to identify security requirements and vulnerabilities.
  • Reviews security program requirements for efficiency and standardization.
  • Acts as a liaison with government agencies / organizations to ensure contract security compliance.
  • Participates in preparation of security proposals.
  • Participates in planning and preparations of new security programs.
  • Partners with various government agencies to ensure corporation is compliant with directives and regulations and obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations.
  • Investigates security incidents and violations relating to classified programs.
  • Implements corrective action plans to identified and fix problems.
Physical/Technical Security Support to include:
  • Alarm Response
  • Access Control Systems (ACS) support, to include: badging, reports, and user training.
  • Assist with Physical Security inspections, testing, and construction when required.
  • Escorting personnel in secure areas.
  • Media Registration and Control.
  • Security Help Desk support to include: reviewing, approving, and assigning security tickets.
What required background will make you successful?
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education and experience with at least 3-5 years of experience working in Industrial Security.
  • Must have a current favorably adjudicated T5 / T5R and eligibility for a TS//SCI clearance.
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Preferred skills:
  • Experience supporting SAP security programs.
  • Experience supporting SCI security programs.
  • Experience as a Facility Security Officer.
  • Prior industrial security experience in aerospace or related industry.
  • Professional Certification in Industrial Security.
  • Ability to climb a 10-foot ladder to perform Physical security checks.
