Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to build and maintain a comprehensive security program aligned with 32 CFR Part 117 and NISPOM. The role also covers COMSEC management and regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on audits, training, and incident response.

The position is onsite in Cambridge, MA, requiring current Secret clearance and strong collaboration across teams and external partners to safeguard classified information.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years in security.
• Knowledge of 32 CFR 117, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM) and ISLs.
• Experience handling classified shipments and maintaining accountability of classified assets.
• Strong communication and teamwork; Secret clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classified document control, accountability, and shipment records.
• Support visitor access, personnel security, employee briefings, and security education.
• Prepare for and participate in security audits, inspections, and inquiries.
• Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, OPSEC plans, and procedures.
• Manage COMSEC equipment, materials, key management, records, and compliance.
• Conduct COMSEC audits and inspections and support incident response and reporting.
• Provide COMSEC training and guidance to personnel.
• Coordinate with government and external organizations on security and COMSEC requirements.
