Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a skilled Sandblaster/Painter for a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. You will perform rust and coating removal, operate blasting bays, and support painting tasks to ensure high-quality finishes.

The job requires 3+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of coatings, and strict adherence to safety standards. Applicants must be able to work in PPE and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial painting or sandblasting experience.
• Experience with conventional and airless spray equipment.
• Knowledge of coating systems and surface prep.
• Required respirator fitness and safety awareness.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and work in PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting to remove rust, scale, paint and corrosion on various items.
• Operate and maintain blasting bays, booths and related equipment.
• Follow safe sandblasting procedures and handle abrasives correctly.
• Set up and maintain blasting and painting equipment as needed.
• Select appropriate abrasives and ensure proper surface preparation.
• Inspect work for defects and quality, adjust processes accordingly.
• Assist painters; mix and apply paints following instructions.
• Read blueprints and support other tasks as assigned.
