Job summary

Mid-State Industrial Maintenance is seeking a detail-oriented Painter/Sandblaster to support industrial operations at our Bartow, FL site. You will prepare and finish surfaces on equipment using sandblasting and painting techniques in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work long hours, and adherence to safety protocols. Experience with abrasive blasting and coatings is advantageous, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of sandblasting/industrial painting experience preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; E-Verify participation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate portable blasting and painting equipment.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking and roughing as needed.
• Apply rust-resistant coatings and finishes to prepared surfaces.
• Inspect surfaces for flaws and correct defects.
• Maintain and clean tools and work area; disassemble/reassemble sprayers.
• Follow safety regulations and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Forklift operation if certified (preferred).
