Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, corrosion, scale, and contaminants.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media based on project requirements.
• Set up, maintain, and clean blasting equipment and work areas.
• Follow job specifications, work orders, and production schedules.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Use and maintain required PPE.
• Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or outdoor environments as required.
• Assist painters and coating technicians with surface preparation activities.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
