Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is hiring for an industrial painting role in Tigard, Oregon. The position involves prepping, sandblasting, and applying protective coatings to machinery, equipment, and structural surfaces using air-assisted or airless spray systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with zinc-based coatings on steel, reads blueprints, and can operate all spray equipment. Training and growth opportunities are available, with benefits and a 90-day sign-on option.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial painting.
• Experience with paint and zinc-based coatings on steel.
• Must be able to read industrial blueprints.
• Ability to operate all spray equipment used in the plant.
• Experience with Mill Thickness Gauges & other testing devices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces, sandblast, and apply protective coatings on industrial structures.
• Work with Air Assist or Airless spray applications.

Compensation: $23 to $25+/hr to start with performance increases

Shift: Day: Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm

What You’ll Do:

This is a role where you will be challenged to prep, sandblast, and apply protective coatings or finishes to surfaces such as machinery, equipment, infrastructure, buildings, and other industrial structures. This company primarily uses Air Assist and or, Airless applications.

What You Need to Have:

• 2+ years of experience of industrial painting
• Experience of paint and zinc-based coatings on steel
• Must be able to read industrial blueprints
• Ability to operate all spray equipment used in the plant
• Ability to read/use Mill Thickness Gauges & other testing devices
• Experience with Zinc is a plus
• Reliable transportation

Preferred skilled sets:

• Sandblasting skills are a plus
• Knowledge of thickness gauge
• Knowledge of performing a blotter test
