Siemens Digital Industries is seeking a motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development and/or sales, with a deep understanding of the Consumer Packaged Goods industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within target markets for named accounts. As part of the Siemens Vertical Sales Organization, the Enterprise Account Executive will play a significant role in business generation for the entire Siemens Digital Industries Portfolio relevant to the named target markets. They will work closely with Siemens Sales and customers in the target markets on technical, contractual, and commercial opportunities. This role will also have named account responsibility with an associated sales quota. This role reports to the Consumer Products and Food & Beverage Vertical Sales Manager.
You are looking for an Industrial Sales Account Executive - Consumer Packaged Goods. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the continental United States.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Driving specification influence and making recommendations on system design and applications for the full breadth of the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio.
- Identifying all key stakeholders in named accounts to educate them on the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio and technology trends using domain expertise on our focused target markets.
- Developing customer relationships, strategic account plans and being responsible for meeting sales revenue for your assigned accounts.
- Building, maintaining, and driving strong, long-lasting C-level client relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
- Coordinating multiple technical experts across all Siemens divisions to provide technical support to named accounts. Collaborating with other Siemens DI and SI field resources to leverage the power of the entire Siemens portfolio.
- Developing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Coordinating business opportunities/projects across all internal sales channels and teams (Vertical Sales, SW Sales, Digital Sales, OEM Sales, Procurement, Engineering) to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Engaging in industry associations and working groups to develop domain expertise and represent Siemens as a thought leader in the industry.
- Leading demand generation activities.
- Conducting thorough account research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the Consumer Packaging Goods sector.
- Collecting market feedback and relevant requirements from the US market and providing them to Vertical Sales Leadership.
- Serving as the national account manager for named accounts.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions in the CRM system (SieSales), covering direct and indirect business for the target industries.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in a consulting, business development, or account management role.
- Successful track record in Business Development and/or Account Management or equivalent role representing a similar breadth of Industrial Automation Portfolio i.e. Motors, VDF, PLC, Networking, Process Automation SW.
- Strong understanding of the Consumer Packaging Goods industries, including market dynamics, key players, and regulatory environment.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with senior leaders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
- Ability to work in both domestic and international (virtual) teams.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a consulting, engineering, BD, or account management environment.
- Thorough understanding of industry-related processes, applications, business drivers, trends, and issues, with a focus on key accounts and the End-User ECO-system community serving the focus industries.
- Experience in business development, sales, or engineering of Discrete and Process Automation or Digital Transformation solutions in our focus industries.
- Fundamental understanding of the Siemens Digital Industry product, solutions, and service portfolio is preferred.
- Strong and proven ability to develop client relationships and opportunity pursuit strategies of complex opportunities across multiple sales organizations and companies (end users, engineering firms, systems integrators, etc.).

- The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $153,720 and the annual incentive target is 42-46% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
