Job summary

Genesis Products is seeking a driven Industrial Sales Representative to expand our presence in the manufactured housing sector across Alabama, Texas, and beyond. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building executive relationships with OEMs, and delivering profitable growth of Genesis products and custom components.

A strong network in manufactured housing and proven B2B sales success are essential, with travel required.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience within the manufactured housing industry.
• Strong understanding of the manufactured housing market, manufacturing operations, purchasing processes, and customer expectations.
• Established relationships or an existing professional network within the manufactured housing industry preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and driving profitable sales growth.
• Experience selling manufactured components or wood products is a plus.
• Ability to identify customer needs and translate into opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, with ability to manage territory independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive New Business: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with manufactured housing OEMs, primarily in Alabama and Texas.
• Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing teams, operations leaders, product development teams, and other decision-makers.
• Grow Market Presence: Establish and execute territory growth strategies to expand Genesis's presence and market share.
• Understand Customer Needs: Learn customers' manufacturing processes and product requirements to identify opportunities where Genesis can provide value.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with internal product, engineering, operations, and customer service teams to develop solutions.
• Manage the Sales Process: From prospecting to quoting, negotiations, and closing.
• Identify Market Opportunities: Monitor industry trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
• Deliver Profitable Growth: Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline and revenue goals.
• Represent Genesis: Maintain an active presence through customer visits and industry events.

Brief Role Summary

Genesis Products is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Industrial Sales Representative to expand our presence in the manufactured housing industry.

We're looking for someone who knows the manufactured housing market, understands how manufacturers operate, and has experience building relationships with key decision-makers within the industry.

This is a business development-focused role responsible for identifying new opportunities, growing OEM partnerships, and driving profitable sales of Genesis products and custom component solutions.

While experience with wood products or manufactured components is valuable, industry knowledge and established relationships within manufactured housing are our top priorities.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys being in front of customers, knows how to turn opportunities into business, and is excited about helping Genesis expand into new markets.

Job Details

• Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with internal product, engineering, operations, and customer service teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• Manage the Sales Process: Own opportunities from initial prospecting and relationship development through quoting, negotiations, and closing.
• Identify Market Opportunities: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
• Deliver Profitable Growth: Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, establish sales forecasts, and consistently work toward revenue and profitability goals.
• Represent Genesis: Maintain an active presence in the territory through customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and ongoing relationship development.

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience within the manufactured housing industry, preferably selling directly to manufactured housing OEMs.
• Strong understanding of the manufactured housing market, manufacturing operations, purchasing processes, and customer expectations.
• Established relationships or an existing professional network within the manufactured housing industry strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing new business, managing customer relationships, and driving profitable sales growth.
• Experience selling manufactured components, materials, or value-added products preferred; wood products experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Self-directed, results-oriented approach with the ability to manage an assigned territory independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory to meet with customers and prospects.
• Must be based in the southeastern United States, with the ability to effectively support Alabama, Texas & Florida.
