Job summary

Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the EHS Manager in day-to-day site safety operations at our Oklahoma facility.

You will help prevent incidents and injuries by coordinating training, investigations, and regulatory compliance across the site. You will manage the JSA program, implement OSHA-compliant policies, deliver regular safety training, and monitor safety performance with data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of safety experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• OSHA-10, OSHA-30, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR/AED or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site safety operations and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Participate in incident investigations; perform root cause analysis and prepare reports.
• Conduct audits/inspections and track corrective actions to completion.
• Manage Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program and employee training.
• Develop, write, and update safety policies aligning with OSHA and regs.
• Plan and deliver safety training, including orientation and toolbox talks.
• Log and analyze incident and hazard data; maintain OSHA logs (300/300A).
• Manage PPE, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response programs.
• Participate in return-to-work coordination and assist in employee counseling on safety procedures.
