Job summary

Austin Industrial in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field operations in maintenance and construction projects. You will develop safety policies, conduct inspections, and train employees to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include building relationships with project staff and subcontractors, preparing safety reports, leading training, and coaching craft workers in safe practices on site.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance and construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; OSHA510 preferred.
• CSST/NCCER credential referenced.

Responsibilities

• Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Assist in creating accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
• Assist in staff safety training and subcontractor development
• Represent the company positively and professionally with the customer and subcontractors
• Create and facilitate safety training and orientations aligned with project specifics and schedules
• Participate in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned region
• Ensure compliance with the company's current safety manual, policies, and expectations
• Majority of time spent in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners
• Help project supervision resolve safety problems and issues in the field
• Fill in for site HSE manager during absences
• Other duties as assigned.
