Job summary

Viable Engineering Solutions is seeking an Industrial Robotics Software Engineer in Orlando to develop automation software that integrates robotics, sensors, and machine vision. The role blends C# development, robotic path planning, computer vision, and system integration.

Responsibilities include prototyping, interface development for Fanuc and other 6-axis robots, and creating APIs for sensors and devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Proficiency in C# and object-oriented software development.
• Experience with .NET, DI, WPF, MVVM architecture.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Git.
• Knowledge of linear algebra and trigonometry for robotics.
• Experience with 6-axis industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa).
• Knowledge of machine vision tools such as OpenCV, Cognex, Keyence.
• Experience integrating sensors, PLCs, motors, and industrial comms.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM or offline programming is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

We are seeking an Industrial Robotics Software Engineer to develop advanced automation solutions that integrate software, industrial robotics, machine vision, and sensor technologies. This role combines C# software development, robotic path planning, computer vision, and automation system integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapid prototypes and perform feasibility studies for robotic automation applications.
• Design, develop, test, and support software applications using C#, .NET, WPF, and MVVM.
• Develop software and communication interfaces for Fanuc and other 6-axis industrial robots.
• Create libraries and APIs for interfacing with external devices and sensors, including cameras, laser profilometers, ultrasonic probes, PLCs, motor controllers, and digital I/O systems.
• Develop and optimize robotic path planning, motion control, collision avoidance, and offline programming tools.
• Implement computer vision solutions using stereo vision, image processing, and 3D object localization technologies.
• Develop calibration processes for robotic cells, tooling, and workpiece positioning.
• Evaluate and validate the performance, accuracy, and feasibility of sensors, vision systems, and motion planning algorithms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to commission, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automated systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented software development.
• Experience with .NET, Dependency Injection, WPF, and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio and Git.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, trigonometry, and applied mathematics for robotics applications.
• Experience with or strong familiarity with 6-axis industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, or similar).
• Experience with robotic motion control, path planning, and collision avoidance concepts.
• Knowledge of machine vision and image processing tools such as OpenCV, Cognex, or Keyence.
• Experience integrating sensors, PLCs, motor control systems, and industrial communication devices.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM, robotic simulation, or offline programming software is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
