Qualifications

• Must have basic rigging knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of slings/chokers and rigging hardware.
• Adherence to site safety requirements and inspection criteria.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
• Attach load to crane hook with grappling devices.
• Provide directions to equipment operator and ensure safety of workers.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment; perform rope/wire splicing as needed.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
