Job summary

Nspproteins in Owasso, OK seeks a Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain and repair critical refrigeration for meat production. You will ensure safety standards, regulatory compliance and efficient operation of systems including ammonia/glycol refrigeration.

The role requires 1+ year in manufacturing maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and ideally RETA certifications or ammonia operator credentials. On-site work with a fast-paced team, strict hygiene rules and cold environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical HVAC/Refrigeration certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing maintenance/refrigeration environment.
• RETA Level 1 & 2 and Ammonia Operator 1 & 2; preferred or willing to take classes.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia, glycol, Freon) and safety protocols.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics; read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains boilers and refrigeration equipment following safety guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs refrigeration systems using schematics and visual observation.
• Performs temperature checks with handheld probes to verify readings.
• Maintains daily readings and logs; supports PMs per SOPs and CMMS prints.
• Assists in audits and compliance with PSM requirements and plant operations.
