Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician for 1st Shift to perform skilled maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems and related plant infrastructure. Pay varies by experience, with shift differentials for other shifts and potential overtime.

The role covers preventive and predictive maintenance of facility systems, equipment like boilers and HVAC, and safe operation of power industrial trucks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of mechanic work experience or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program, HVAC/R program or CIRO.CARO certification.
• If training is not present, the candidate must have at least 6 months experience with an ammonia system.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Complete daily log sheets and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain plant efficiency and product quality.
• Assist in mechanical inventory management.
• Support food safety programs and contract employee programs.
