Job summary

General Mills, Inc. in Wellston, OH is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to support the Totino's plant operations. You will perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems and respond to equipment issues to keep production running smoothly.

The role offers 8-hour shifts, with a 2:30 pm–10:30 pm second shift option and a pay-for-skills structure that increases with experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Continuing education in maintenance/technical skills.
• Computer Maintenance Management Systems experience.
• Priority for HazMat Technician Level Emergency Response or RETA CIRO/CARO certs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Provide plant leadership and technical support for maintenance activities.
• Train new employees on utilities systems and safety procedures.
• Adhere to Master PM schedule and safety policies.

Skills

Demonstrated leadership ability

Ability to work in hot/cold conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Education

Technical degree in industrial maintenance or related field

Tools

Computer Maintenance Management Systems experience

HazMat Technician Level Emergency Response Certificate

CIRO or CARO Certification (RET A)
