Job summary

E2 Mechanical & Industrial Refrigeration in Charlotte, NC seeks a Sales Engineer to identify, develop, and close industrial refrigeration opportunities, designing system layouts for ammonia, CO2, freon and glycol.

You will visit client sites, build relationships with food/bev producers, pharma, and plasma logistics facilities, and coordinate with engineering for conceptual designs. Applicants should have 3+ years in industrial refrigeration sales and CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit a plus).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of Industrial Refrigeration sales experience.
• Strong business decision-making skills with a solid financial acumen.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but certainly not required.
• Closing skills, motivation for sales, and goal oriented.
• Understanding of Vapor Compression Cycle, heat exchangers and refrigerants (Ammonia, CO2, Freon and Glycol).
• Proficient with CAD software; AutoCAD with Revit experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain new prospects with food/beverage production and distribution facilities, pharmaceutical companies, and plasma logistics facilities
• Establish and strengthen relationships with existing customers (owners, general contractors, project managers, facility managers, architects and engineers)
• Schedule and conduct successful sales calls to identify and qualify project opportunities
• Analyze projects to determine fit for E2’s capabilities, pipeline, and growth initiatives
• Establish written sales plans, track activity, and achieve quantitative sales goals
• Bridge between project management and construction teams during installation to ensure design alignment
• Collaborate with internal engineering to develop conceptional designs
• Perform room load calculations and develop bid drawings, flow diagrams and specs for new systems or upfits
• Visit job sites to diagnose problems and failures for systems we install
• Ensure proposed systems meet IIAR, ASHRAE and environmental standards
