Job summary

Tencarva Machinery Company seeks an Applications Engineer to translate customer needs into pump selections, equipment packages, and technical proposals for industrial and municipal projects. You will work closely with Sales Engineers, customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 3 years of pump experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong CAD/SolidWorks skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Applications Engineering or related pump industry experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience with CAD/SolidWorks or similar design tools preferred.
• Strong communication skills and sound engineering judgment.
• Ability to interpret specifications, contracts, P&IDs, drawings, and submittal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, specifications, drawings, and application data.
• Perform pump sizing, selection, and system configuration for industrial and municipal applications.
• Select supporting equipment and accessories based on application requirements.
• Prepare quotations, bills of material, and technical proposal packages.
• Develop schematics, layouts, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Review contract scope and specifications for compliance and testing requirements.
• Support submittal development and technical review after award.
• Stay engaged post-award to ensure equipment package aligns with the application.
