Job summary

Tencarva Machinery Company seeks an Applications Engineer to design pump system solutions for industrial and municipal needs, translating customer requirements into precise equipment selections and quotes.

You will review data, size pumps, configure systems, prepare BOMs and proposals, and coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal teams through the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Applications Engineering or related pump industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Pump OEM or industrial pump distributor experience preferred.
• Understanding of pump hydraulics, hydraulics, and system applications.
• Ability to interpret specifications, contracts, P&IDs, drawings and submittal requirements.
• Experience with CAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, quotation tools, or order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, specifications, drawings, and application data.
• Perform pump sizing, selection, and system configuration for industrial and municipal applications.
• Select supporting equipment and accessories based on application requirements.
• Prepare quotations, bills of material, and technical proposal packages.
• Develop schematics, layouts, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Review contract scope and specifications for compliance, documentation, calculations, and testing requirements.
• Support submittal development and technical review after award.
• Stay engaged after award to help ensure the equipment package and final deliverables remain aligned with the application and specifications.
• Work with vendors, purchasing, production, service, and sales to keep projects aligned and moving.
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, opportunities, projects, and correspondence.
• Develop and maintain expertise across assigned product lines, software tools, and pump applications.
